What I like about this approach is the proactive collection of feedback that can be turned into testimonials in a continuous process. As you solicit thought (intercepting the customer at a good moment and in a low-key natural way), there is some great thought put into collecting, managing and distributing them.
Third-party validation (social proof, someone else tooting your horn for you, etc.) is the most valuable things every business needs. It's well understood in B2B marketing that it all comes down to reference customers. Simple idea, incredibly hard to execute on.
