This is exactly how Elixir should be taught — through a real project, not toy examples.
I've been building a SaaS in Elixir/Phoenix for the past 10 weeks and the OTP concepts you cover here (GenServer, supervision trees, fault tolerance) are what make Elixir genuinely different from everything else.
The crypto bot angle is clever — it's complex enough to show off OTP's strengths but concrete enough to stay engaging throughout.
