It is a really simple product with only web presence and without any mobile presence yet it is one of the fastest growing companies of YC.
Is mobile presence really necessary for growth?
@siong1987 - absolutely. Mobile provides:
1) Increased distribution in the App Store (which can be significant if featured or ranked high in the charts)
2) 24/7 access to use the service
3) Increased mindshare for existing customers as the Homejoy app icon occupies their homescreen
Now is it more important than expanding geographies or building a better web experience. I couldn't say without access to their data or familiarity with the product.
Tried Homejoy recently. I'd give it a 8.5 / 10. Maybe my apartment is just messy but took longer than anticipated to clean. When everything was done, place looked great though.
