This type of thing used to be illegal in many states, however my state just passed a law that says you can produce things in a non-commercial kitchen for sale. My wife had been making meals for bachelors with low-sodium and high organic content that could help them stay healthy. I love this concept and think that if you trust the person, the meal could really be worth it.

This food is amazing. I ordered food from probably 9 different chefs using Homemade and can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal. It is also pretty cool to meet the chefs and learn more about what inspired them to come up with the recipe. I also enjoy trying the other meals that the chefs list on Homemade.
Thanks for all the feedback. Always valued and appreciated. I have total empathy for the feeling of uneasiness around Homemade Food. After spending a ton of time obsessing over the idea I am a true believer, but it is great to hear fresh perspectives on the obstacles still in our way. It keeps me grounded and helps me to take my co-founder hat off (even if just for a few moments), which I find to be one of the best parts of PH.

@ichaboddee Michael, looks great. Onboarding was super solid. Only idea for you would be to add an "empty state" CTA on the "Requests" tab out of the gate, just an encouragement to "start ordering!" before there are any active requests to display there. Keep it up, look forward to ordering a meal soon!

@homemadeapp is legit. Their food is nutritious and delicious...only half can be said for most food startups. I know so after they served 100+ startups in our network at on of our signature events: @startupinst NYC's TalentExpo. It says a lot about their ability to scale and maintain quality. Couldn't be more impressed. _Shaun
I love Homemade app, met with the team at Techstars and got to try out their food. Delicious. Best part is when we are having a long day (which is every day) in the office, we order from Homemade to boost the morale and get something refreshing for lunch. Highly recommended if you are running a startup and want to surprise/delight your team.
Hey Ben! Thanks so much. Homemade was inspired by my incredible grandmother, who we call Gaga in my family, and her amazing cooking. It was originally dreamed up as almost a digital bake sale for others to connect with her food, since she cannot get around super well. I brought this VERY rough concept to one of my best friends, Mike @IchabodDee and over the last couple of years we've refined it as a way for anyone with the core competency and interest in cooking to sell food to others.

I love Homemade - it became part of our daily / weekly routine to pick a meal or two when spending a few months in NYC for work. Every dish we tried was great, and the personal touch of the chefs really made a difference in feeling good about what we were eating. Even when traveling on business, often for weeks at a time, with homemade it was like, well, being at home.
