Turn Jira Data Into Strategic Clarity

Android homescreens are much more rich and varying. See r/androidthemes. There's a great culture behind the art of customizing your Android device, hope it'll come to this site one day.

The different phone outlines is a bit distracting. Especially if one of the goals is to enable users to discover new apps. It would be helpful to have an option to disable those so the home screen and apps is center stage without the distraction.
@tuxracer That's a great suggestion, Derek. Although we put equal focus on the device of the user, I understand that some users might not care about it. We'll consider adding an option to disable/hide device frames so that the homescreens get center stage. You can already click on a screenshot to view it in a larger size, but I do love your suggestion too.

Love the idea. I see myself using this and see how other people configure their homescreens. I actually believe homescreens have a lot to say about how different people, especially influencers, get organized and what priorities they have in their day-to-day lives.

Why did you decide to focus on mobile devices made by Apple?
@askdaylen There's a bunch of reasons for that, actually.
For starters, we ourselves are first and foremost iOS users, so that's what we began with in 2010. This was a side-project back then, so our 3-men team wanted to focus on the essentials and hence Android devices were off limits for a while. By the time we were comfortable, there were already a bunch of different competitors that had already sprung up and were doing a far better job.
More importantly, there's hundreds of different Android devices out there, each with different variants and colors. It is practically impossible to find and support device frames for each of them. If we were featuring screenshots only, it would have been easy. But the device is just as important for us and our users.
Moreover, we would much rather focus on iOS devices and improve upon the product than worry about what new phone an Android OEM has announced this week.
Lastly, there are a few things that we have planned that best work for iOS homescreens rather than Android. 😄
We don't have anything against Android, we just think we would do better with iOS. So that's where we are focusing our attention on.

@preshit Curious if you've had a chance to browse r/androidthemes on reddit before? It seems like a reddit version of your site, but for Android.
Incase anyone else is interested we have developed a similar tool to share the same with the ease: https://www.appsiuse.co/
Currently we are on android.

Wow, Apple addicts surfing a website for home screens that offer Apples totalitarian rules. I guess if you have no choice in home screens this is a support group....
