@proxet I'd say early in the morning is the best. In that Fractl study I mentioned above 500 journalists were asked this very question: "What time of day you prefer to be pitched?" here is what their response was:
69% prefer morning
22% prefer afternoon
9% prefer evening
I would stick with the morning, it makes sense because they get their day started and figure out what they are going to write during that day in the morning.
