@rrhoover I think we had a typo! This lets you unfollow people from facebook, not unfriend them! Thanks for checking it out! It's trivial to make the app unfriend, but my research showed that most people preferred to unfollow.
@rrhoover I love Twindr (found on PH a few weeks ago) was lets you unfollow on Twitter using swipe. Really enjoying it. I've always wanted any easy way to cull some friends on Facebook. I like this idea.
Awesome. FB / Twitter /Linkedin should all buy/fund platforms that do this.. otherwise they are going to lose people to new startups as a result of the massive noise problem already present on their platforms.

Thank you guys for checking Hushbook out!
Have fun clearing out your newsfeed without letting your friends know!
Let me know if you have feature suggestions.

For a while Facebook had a mass unsubscribe feature... I utilized that like no other. I follow no humans besides family, closest friends, journalists and figures. My News Feed is actual news and interesting/engaging content. This is useful for maintaining my noiseless news feed.
The animations are way too much though, the learning curve is low at this point, when you successfully swipe the first time it takes 3-4 animations before you can continue going. I would advise minimizing the "We'll take it from here" type messages as that's what we expect as users anyway.
Also I'd advise that the unfollows happen in the background, allowing the user to continuously unfollow in the foreground. Unfollowing is also not a life or death decision so I don't think we should have to click Unfollow after just swiping left to continue.
@danjfein Hi Dan, thanks for the feedback!
I opted for animations instead of a loading spinner. The unfollow isn't instantaneous, and I needed a way to make it feel like you aren't waiting forever (or at least make waiting fun). Since we're not using the facebook API (because there isn't any for unfollowing/unfriending), we are stuck with some wait times :(

@_willfalcon Can you create a queue of sorts for the user? Rather than put the burden on the user's time I would try to make it a background event. Cool product though @_willfalcon!
Very interesting concept. I personally have almost 2000 friends on Facebook and when you are friends with them, you are automatically following them. This seems to make filtering out what you would like to see on your newsfeed more feasible and efficient. This would be great for wanting to see updates from friends you are currently in touch with rather than, for instance, a friend from ten years ago.

I love this idea. I've spent hours on FB trying to unfriend people and it's not an easy process. I never really thought of the idea of unfollowing a user to minimize the noise on one's feed while still keeping them as a "friend". Great work @_willfalcon
