Pretty similar to LaunchRock, which was acquired by Fundable last year. Startups that are acquired have a habit of slowing down, so I'm sure there is room in the market for another similar service.
One of my favorite LaunchRock success stories is Delaney BBQ, which presold $60K of brisket using the same social share queuing algorithm. Read comment #15 on this thread - http://www.bbq-brethren.com/foru...
Nice work on HypeQ and keep it up.
@grantmac_ Cool idea. Are there any mobile apps out there currently using the product? Would love to see a live mobile demo.

Very cool, was just about to build something like this - any chance of a sneaky jump up the queue? - wish I could upvote x10

@grant Are you guys still in beta? I ask as you were featured on here a year ago... Or are you intentionally keeping access limited to drive referrals?

I wish this had existed a few months ago. It's the Mailbox trick and it works. We ended up using kick off labs for our pre-launch page, but this looks much better as you have the queue system / social skip reward.
@thetylerhayes I'm assuming this thing works but they're just showing you the landing page because it illustrates how the product works. is that accurate @_grantmac?
Exactly @matthartman - thanks.
@thetylerhayes - We did consider this. This truth is that the product is being opened up to the members at the top of the list as we speak. I guess we thought that the best way to how HypeQ works was by people entering, and being part of, the process - to see it first hand.
RE: Launchrock. For one we offer alot less services. Also we try to focus on virality and social influence more.
