This ideas is just fantastic! Exactly what I needed!
But I would like to be able to integrate it with my existing Todo Database. Will something like this be possible?
Hey @niklas_raab, thanks for the feedback!
Sure, you can connect Hypersonic to any database in Notion. You just need to consider:
- Change database name in Raycast Settings from the one you are using
- The database requieres the same 4 properties that we have in Hypersonic template with the same name (you can add more, for sure)
We are working on enabling mapping these properties with custom names. Stay tuned!

@ivan_garcia95 Thx for your response, well our "database" schmea looks like this: https://www.loom.com/i/401f48cba...
With status being one of idea, backlog, in progress, done. How would I integrate your tool with that?
@niklas_raab you need at least the same 4 properties that we include in Hypersonic database template with the same names.
We are already working on enabling remapping property names, so you could use your own ones.

@ivan_garcia95 Does "remapping" mean I can have a property with multiple stati like "idea", "backlog", "in progress", "done". From what I understand from the template it currently supports only done or not done, so right now it seems to be binary. "remapping" property names sounds to me more like I can use an existing binary column instead of the done column in the template.
Hey @niklas_raab, happy to continue over email at ivan@reboot.studio. Remapping means you can change property names but property type needs to be the same.
The function is built around using checkbox for "done/not done" statutes, maybe we could add support for the new "Status" property, but will still be binary.

Super cool! Will anything break if I add my own custom properties to 2DOs? Like select / multi-select fields for categorisation?
Hey @sokirill! You can connect your own database or extend the template we provide. The only thing you need to take into account right now is preserving the 4 initial properties and its names.
Thanks @petr_nikolaev! Raycast is powerful enough to deserve its own apps

I love this! Thanks for building :)
I saw from another comment that you're planning to enable custom remapping for existing databases. On that note, I would love to see support for the new status property in addition to the checkbox, and more date options to choose from. I think Superhuman has the best experience here in terms of the types of fuzzy things you can enter that it translates to "remind me" times.
But this is already an incredible comment and I can't wait to see it progress!
Hey @sbcatania, thanks for your feedback!
Yes, we will enable remapping property names in the next release. Also, we are updating the schedule menu to give more options and flexibility, like setting a specific time.
Hey @sbcatania, we've just released a new update with property remapping, so you can connect to any Notion database and work with your own names. We also enable set custom reminders by time. Let us know ✌️

@ivan_garcia95, this is awesome! Thank you so much. Still looking forward to being able to use a status property rather than a checkbox in the future! In addition, is it possible to have the dates ~not~ send to Notion in UTC and just go in without a timezone like most Notion dates?
Yes @sbcatania, enabling use different properties than checkbox for complete status is in our roadmap. About date format in Notion, it's something we haven't look into it, but definitely we will take a look.
Love the idea! Just quickly installed it and unfortunately not yet usable for me. My wish would be to just connect to Notion without needing to add an extra template. I have all my todos already in a kanban board there, switching to a new system is a huge hurdle.
Hey @raphael_167! We know and are working on a new update with property remapping, so you can connect any database and rename the fields to match your own ones.
In my case I would love to see the following: On the very top my „today“ column, then the „this week“ column, underneath the „this month“ column and then the inbox. I wouldn‘t want to see the done and done today column :)
