@annchanyt@alexsaidani this product looks really interesting! I look forward to trying it out. I'm an entrepreneur visiting the Bay Area from Santa Barbara getting feedback for a product that I'm building called www.actionwins.co. ActionWins is an in-app referral marketing API that allows you to launch Uber/DropBox like referral marketing campaigns in your app in just a few minutes. I'm working out of the Galvanize office through the 20th and am looking to connect with other startups / entrepreneurs.
What are your thoughts on setting up a time to chat? Either way, best of luck with your launch!
InDemand is a plug-and-play platform for setting up an on-demand store or service, or adding an on-demand component to your existing business. It takes a matter of minutes, and ZERO coding. Think Shopify for the on-demand economy. I especially love the case study about Marion's flower shop.
This feels like it's based on a misunderstanding of why on-demand businesses succeed or fail. Providing people with a streamlined service to build a layer on an existing industry would work well if that was the way in which on-demand businesses actually worked. A platform for building two-sided marketplaces? Great. That'd be useful. A platform for on-demand services? Missing the point.
Case in point: you suggest that becoming the next instacart is a goal to aspire to. Noticed how well they've been doing lately? Their struggle is the struggle of all on-demand businesses that believe it's the on-demand layer that sets them apart, and a SaaS solution to build more uber-for-x's promises to continue the stream of misinformation at the entrepreneur level while funding has almost completely dried up for these types of plays. This is an idea that lags significantly behind a trend that's already dying.

@alexsaidani cool app ! Best of luck 😄 You mentioned that your currently operating in the MENA region, I was wondering with low credit card penetration how does that effect your business model ?
Glad to see that Trackin http://gotrackin.com is not the only one anymore helping SMBs/chains with an end to end solution! Is your store allowing delivery only? or does it do pickup/catering as well?
We've launched two years ago and integrated Postmates last year. Interesting to see your pitch and your company idea. Considering you were previously at GiveMeTap, a batch-mate of Trackin during YC, you should have come to talk to me (or you should still :) ). It would be great to chat about the industry and the future of the delivery.
Also I like your design better than ours! I'm curious to see how efficient is your driver app though. Looking forward to connect and try it out! Good job!
