logging symptoms alongside meals instead of just calories is the actual useful idea here, most food-tracking apps treat every user's trigger list as the same handful of usual suspects (gluten, dairy, nightshades) when in reality it's genuinely different per person. correlating your own meal photos against your own symptom log over time is a much more honest way to find that out than reading a generic anti-inflammatory food list.
Thanks, this is a really good point.
Mixed dishes, sauces and stews are definitely more challenging because some ingredients simply can't be inferred reliably from a photo.
That's why InflammaScan doesn't treat the initial AI analysis as definitive. After scanning a meal, users can review the detected foods and ingredients and edit or add any ingredients the AI missed before saving it.
We're also testing a feature where the app asks the user a few questions when it detects that there may be hidden ingredients that can't be reliably identified from the photo.
Really appreciate the feedback!
