Hey Product Hunt! I'm Aaron, the maker of Inkroads.
The idea started simply: I wanted a map poster of my neighborhood but couldn't find anything that gave me real control over how it looked. Every tool I tried was either "pick a city, pick a color, done" or required design software skills I didn't have.
So I built what I wanted, a map poster studio where you can control everything. Not just colors, but individual road types, water bodies, building footprints, park boundaries, transit lines. a BUNCH of themes that actually look different from each other. Live preview so you see exactly what you're getting.
The part I'm most proud of is the layer system. You can toggle motorways separately from residential streets, show lakes but hide rivers, display airport runways but not parking lots. It sounds granular (because it is), but it means every poster feels intentionally designed rather than auto-generated.
A few things I'd love feedback on:
- The theme selection: which ones resonate, which feel redundant?
- The editor UX: is the layer control intuitive or overwhelming?
- What's missing? What would make you actually use this?
