As a FORMER Duolingo user, it is difficult to actually learn a language when you didn't have someone to guide you through pronunciation and context. I was having difficulty using the language correctly that eventually discouraged me even more. With INT'L CAFÉ, not only do you have an online community, but you are able to meet with people IRL with the same goals and passions. If you are lucky, you will be able to engage and interact with likeminded people over a pint (liquid courage is what helps with the pronunciation 😅). There is always an event nearby where you can take the learning offline and have someone to help with your pronunciation, grammar, AND get to practice!

I've been to Int'l Cafe multiple times and can say that it is an excellent place to brush up on second language and meet new people on a similar adventure. I topped out at high school Spanish and came to an event where I met people who were at my level whom I could practice with, as well as people who were slightly more fluent that gave tips to help me improve. It was a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Love Intl Cafe, it's a great way to connect with real people and practice your language skills. I love how you can hop around different language groups, then go back to my local community. So far, I've been exposed to reading a few Russian posts and was able to translate them with the translation feature. Also love the map feature, and how you can really share your life journey using the map.
