I ran across Kilo a while ago by accident, well before it landed here in PH. I was jumping around between 2 or 3 other products depending on what I was doing. Once I started using Kilo I've never gone back - I've been incredibly happy with it so far. It just feels like I spend less time telling it to "try again" and more time just coding. They've got me hooked now.

Tried Kilocode AI for a short time, so far pretty smooth to use, quick setup, and it helps speed up coding. Great for small tasks. I’d like to give it another check to see if it can actually help fix bugs in a serious project.

I used Kilo Code in VS Code recently for the first time to build a subscriber search app for my company. It worked great. The interface was easy to navigate. I liked the ability to switch between Ask, Code, Architect, and Debug modes. Switching between models is a breeze. I will definitely continue to use Kilo Code for building my apps.

This is, by far, my AI coding tool on daily use. The features on offer and the polished state of the vscode extension, are the best selling points. You see what is happening with/to your code in a streamlined way and with easy ways to go back some checkpoints on the changes and re-iterate until you get what you need. Everyone's got to try it. I've used Continue.dev in the past. But Kilo Code is the most feature complete of the two.

What stood out to me is the developer experience — it feels fast to get value without a bunch of setup friction.

Clear, focused UX that stays out of the way while coding
Helpful suggestions for refactors and “what’s the next step” moments
Customization is there when you need it, but the defaults are sensible
Output quality is consistently usable (less time fighting the assistant)

Overall, it’s the kind of tool you can keep open all day and trust as a teammate.

What needs improvement

Two areas I’d love to see improved:

Pricing / cost clarity: a simple, transparent breakdown (what drives cost, typical ranges, and a few real examples) would make it easier to recommend to teams.
Integration & onboarding: more “copy-paste” quickstarts (CLI + common editors), stronger docs for edge cases, and a few ready-made templates for common workflows would reduce the learning curve.
