That makes sense. In my experience, automation shines during recon and initial enumeration, but human judgment is still critical when it comes to understanding business context and exploitability. Tools that reduce noise and surface higher-signal findings definitely help free up time for that deeper analysis.

That said, it still relies on human intuition for complex logic flaws, social engineering tests, and interpreting ambiguous results. Think of Lenny as a productivity multiplier, it frees human pentesters to focus on high-impact analysis rather than replacing their expertise.

How do you prevent hallucinated findings or unsafe actions during a pentest?
@ginnjuice210 Great question. Lenny is designed to never act autonomously outside the defined scope. Every finding is tied to obsrvable evidence from recon and enumeration, and unsafe actions are explicitly blocked.
Hallucinated findings are minimized by cross-verifying results across multiple sources and scoring confidence levels. Anything flagged as low-confidence is clearly labeled, so human pentesters can make the final decision.

Scope + intent: Humans are better at translating “what the client actually cares about” (threat model, crown jewels, risk appetite) into priorities. Lenny needs clear scope and constraints to stay aligned.
Novel/creative chaining: Lenny is strong at executing repeatable attack modules and correlating results, but humans still win at weird-edge-case pivoting, bespoke exploit chains, and adapting when the environment doesn’t match expected patterns.
Ground-truth verification: Lenny can surface likely issues fast, but a human should still confirm exploitability/impact and weed out false positives, especially in complex apps and hybrid cloud environments.
App logic + business workflows: The hardest real-world bugs live in custom authorization flows, multi-step business logic, and “this is how the org really uses it.” That’s still human territory.
Communication + compliance nuance: Lenny can generate professional report structure, but humans own the final claims, remediation tradeoffs, and stakeholder messaging (what to say, how to say it, and what not to overstate).
Also: Lenny is built for authorized testing only. It won’t replace the ethics/legal responsibility of a human operator, humans must control targets, scope, and go/no-go decisions. If you’re a pentester: where do you lose the most time today, recon/triage, chaining, evidence management, or reporting?
