LockedCut is a distraction-free video review tool built specifically for professional editors. It protects your time by automatically enforcing your contract's revision limits. You send a review link with a set number of rounds, clients leave timestamped notes, and once they hit submit, the link locks—ending the endless cycle of "one more quick change.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm the creator of LockedCut, and I am incredibly excited to share it with you all today.
As someone deep into building software and technical systems, I kept noticing a painful, universal issue that almost every freelance video editor faces: revision hell and endless scope creep.
Contracts always say "1 or 2 rounds of revisions," but in reality, clients keep emailing "just one more quick tweak" for weeks. Editors hate having to write that awkward, confrontational email telling the client to stop, so they just absorb the extra work—losing both their time and profit margins.
I wanted to build an elegant system that enforces the contract for you, eliminating that friction entirely.
How LockedCut works:
Set the Guardrails: Paste your video link (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.) and set a strict limit on revision rounds based on your contract.
Frictionless for Clients: Your client gets a clean, beautifully formatted link where they can pause and add timestamped feedback. No account creation required for them.
The Hard Lock: The second the client hits "Submit Revision Round," the link hard-locks. They physically cannot request more changes until you choose to open the next official round.
By building hard boundaries right into the interface, you protect your deep focus work, keep your projects organized, and eliminate the digital noise of endless message threads.
LockedCut is completely live on locked-cut.app, and it's free for solo freelancers to test out on their active projects.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feature requests, or any feedback on the UI/UX. I'll be hanging out in the comments all day to answer your questions!

Finally a tool that gets editors. The auto-lock on revision limits is a genuinely smart way to protect your hours, and I wish I had this years ago when clients kept slipping in "tiny" edits after round ten.
