What's great

I like how easy it is to speak your thoughts instead of stopping to type everything out. The rewriting and translation features are really useful, especially when you want to turn a rough idea into something ready to use.

What needs improvement

I’d love to see more options for customizing how the final text sounds. Better support for conversations with multiple speakers would also make it even more useful.

vs Alternatives

I’ve tried regular dictation tools and a few writing assistants, but most of them feel limited to just turning speech into text. Loqua feels more useful because you can actually continue working from what you said.

What's great

The privacy side is what really stood out to me. Everything is processed temporarily and not stored, which means no saved screenshots and no data being used to train models. Since Loqua can see your screen and hear what you dictate, knowing this makes it much easier for me to trust and use it regularly.

What needs improvement

I'd love to see a simple session log showing what was processed and confirming that nothing was retained. The privacy policy is reassuring, but having that confirmation directly in the app would make the experience feel even more transparent.

vs Alternatives

I checked out a few other cloud-based dictation tools, but their privacy policies weren't always very clear about data retention. I liked that Loqua is much more upfront about how captured content is handled.

What's great

I usually think in one language but need to write emails in English naturally. Loqua helps clean up my wording without changing what I actually want to say. The quick translation into around 100 languages is also really handy when I need to switch between languages.

What needs improvement

Sometimes idioms sound a little too literal when I mix languages in the same sentence. Better handling of mixed-language conversations would make it even more useful.

vs Alternatives

I used to combine Google Translate with a separate dictation tool, but switching between both was a bit annoying and sometimes the meaning got lost. Having everything in one place makes the whole process much easier.

What's great

As a founder, I’m constantly switching between different things. Being able to talk through a client call or meeting and get a clean summary afterward saves me a lot of time. It’s much easier than typing everything out.

What needs improvement

I’d really like to see multi-speaker meeting transcription. I noticed it’s already on the roadmap, and I think that would make Loqua even more useful for calls where several people are talking.

vs Alternatives

I used to either type my notes after calls or use a basic transcription tool and spend a lot of time cleaning everything up. With Loqua, I can just speak through the important points and move on.

What's great

I like how natural it feels to use. I can just say what I’m thinking instead of stopping to type every sentence. It’s especially useful when I have a rough idea and want to turn it into something I can actually use.

What needs improvement

I’d love to see even more control over voice commands and shortcuts. It would make the hands free experience even more useful for people who spend a lot of time working on their computer.
