I've started using it and have decided that for the moment it will mean I don't need to pay $49/month for Drip - drip is a nice tool but overkill for me right now - may move to it later. Right now I'm able to add the random people who are signing up to my newsletter via mailchimp into this spreadsheet because I have their email but also begin a more personal engagement with them. I can see also that adding people from twitter who have favorited or retweeted will be a great way of strengthening connections. Congrats on the product @colinmathews I wish you all the best with it.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to drop in with a quick update. This spur of traffic caught me by surprise, but it’s been great. I’ve had lots of orders, great feedback, and I’ve made significant improvements to the product offering. It all started with your comments so thank you!
I wrote a post about this experience that you can find here: http://blog.lukewarmemailer.com/...
And if you’re one of the people who bought one of the first versions of Lukewarm, please feel free to contact me and I’ll upgrade your spreadsheet with the latest features.
Special thanks to @PieterPaul for posting my product.
@colinmathews anything that can automate getting emails for identified leads is a huge win. I've gotten used to spending around $1/email contact either through Data.com, Zoominfo, or Task Rabbits. Mechanical Turk is great but takes time. Outsourcing all that is huge. One interesting addition could be to support any user profile link. For instance, LinkedIn users, Etsy shop owners, Airbnb hosts, or any other profile of a person you want to sell something to.
@thisisjorik Sure! I've refined a process that involves Mechanical Turk that does the manual crowdsourcing to find people's email addresses. I'm telling people to expect no more than a 60% success rate because that's about what I'm seeing.
I like that its collecting contacts but not aimed at getting spam lists. Someone else recently had a crowdsourced service to collect email addresses that I haven't tried yet. Often the biggest hurdle I find when getting into sales mode is the time just running down contacts at potential client companies. Looking forward to trying this.
This is awesome. So much outreach/growth/marketing is based on list building, grunt work and (if you're smart) optimizing processes that involve MT/oDesk. Basically every element of the process of meeting new prospects and users that ISN'T important to doing it authentically should be optimized or outsourced in some way. The most valuable time spent is learning about who people are and what makes them tick, and actually interacting with them (things that don't scale).
Love apps/tools that oil the machine, so to speak.
Thanks, @ianmchenry. I started with Twitter because it keeps things simple, but that's a great suggestion.
And thanks @dshan as well! I am in complete agreement with everything you said. Once I got the crowdsourcing piece in place, using my spreadsheet was so breezy that it made researching each person I was emailing actually possible. It's still a lot of work - but it's work done at the right point in the process.
