Lumiko records your screen and edits the footage while you work. It tracks your cursor and clicks, then builds smooth zoom and pan moves over them automatically, no keyframes. Trim, split, and reorder clips on a timeline right in the browser. Smart Blur hides API keys and passwords in one drag. Add a webcam bubble, custom backgrounds, click effects. Exports up to 4K. Runs locally, no account, no upload queue. Free to start.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Lumiko because I kept losing an hour to keyframes after every five-minute recording. The zoom-and-pan you see in slick tutorial videos usually comes from someone manually placing markers over every click, and I got tired of it.
Lumiko watches where your cursor goes while you record, then generates that zoom and pan movement on its own once you stop. You still get a full timeline editor for trimming and reordering clips, plus Smart Blur for hiding sensitive info like API keys before you share anything.
Everything renders on your machine. No account, no upload step, no waiting on a server queue.
Pro is $9, one time, no subscription. It removes the watermark, unlocks 4K exports, and covers 3 devices for life.
Would love to hear what part of your current recording workflow eats the most time. That's what I'm building toward next.
Hey brother, I bought the Pro license but nothing happens when I press Download extension, I did install the free extensions but I can't see a place to paste in the license code. Can you assist? thanks.

@sorin_maxim Hey! Thanks so much for supporting Lumiko and grabbing Pro! 🙌
And yep, you did the right thing by installing the free extension. Your license key simply unlocks Pro features in the extension you already have.
To activate it:
Open Lumiko Chrome Extension and make a quick screen recording (even 1 second is enough).
Stop the recording — the Lumiko Editor will open automatically.
On the right sidebar, click Upgrade to Pro (or select 4K from the Export dropdown).
In the popup, click “Already purchased?”
Enter your license key (LUMIKO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and hit Activate.
That’s it! 🎉 Your Pro features should unlock immediately.
If you have any trouble finding the activation option, just let me know and I’ll help you get it sorted!
Cursor position is right most of the time and wrong on the takes where I'm moving the mouse while I talk. Can I override a zoom it placed?
Lumiko
@justin_rockmore YES — you can manually override any zoom it places. 🙌
Just:
Click the blue Zoom block on the timeline.
In Zoom Properties, change Position from Follow cursor to Fixed.
A target box will appear on the preview — just drag it to exactly where you want the camera to focus.
You can also drag the edges of the zoom block to adjust when it starts/ends, or delete the block entirely if you don't want that zoom.
Hope that helps! And thanks for trying Lumiko ,let me know if you run into anything else! ❤️
