Hey! I'm launching LUMO a German vocabulary app on Product Hunt tomorrow (Aug 19).
A bit of background: I built this solo, from the content pipeline to the app itself. Every word is organized by CEFR level (A1 to C1), with spaced repetition, real example sentences, and a dedicated tool for finally mastering der/die/das.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋🏻
I'm Çağrı, solo builder of LUMO.
A few months ago I was trying to get past B1 German using random Anki decks and word of the day apps, and kept hitting the same wall: no structure, no clear sense of progress, and der/die/das that I'd get right one day and wrong the next.
So I built LUMO: German vocabulary organized by CEFR level (A1 to C1), five words per module, with spaced repetition flashcards, real example sentences, and a dedicated Der/Die/Das studio built specifically to make noun genders finally stick.
I built everything solo. From the content pipeline (nearly 1,900 words reviewed, more added weekly) to the grammar data to the app itself.
Would love your feedback, especially if you're learning German (or any language). What's missing, what would make this a daily habit for you? I'll be here all day answering everything! 🇩🇪
