A macOS app that turns your display into frosted glass as you close the lid. Driven by the hinge sensor, so it moves at the speed of your hand.

tying the animation to the actual hinge sensor instead of a fixed-duration fade is what makes it feel right - close the lid slowly and the glass effect tracks your hand instead of just playing a canned transition. it's a small, purely cosmetic app but it's the kind of detail that makes a Mac feel considered rather than generic.

a couple of alternate glass styles or tint options would give it a bit more personality beyond the single default look, since that's really the whole product surface.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! The hinge tracking is the part I spent by far the most time on, so it really means a lot to hear that came through.

And I completely agree that having more glass styles and tint options could make it more personal. There are already a few controls in Settings, including Effect, Perspective, Edge softness and Corner radius, but I can definitely do a better job of making those options more visible.

I’d also love to keep adding new effects and ways to personalise Mac Duo based on feedback from users. That’s something I really want to build together with the people using it, and all future updates will be free. 😊
