👋 Hi Product Hunt! I’m Jörg, an indie developer from Germany and the creator of Mail Archive. The idea came from a problem I faced myself. I wanted a simple way to archive important emails locally without relying on expensive cloud services, subscriptions, or enterprise software that felt far too complicated for small businesses and individuals. Most solutions I found were either cloud-based, subscription-only, or designed for large organizations. So I decided to build my own. Mail Archive connects to Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365 and IMAP accounts, downloads emails to your own computer, and makes everything searchable through fast full-text search.
