Maker Weekly is "Indiemaker and bootstrapped startup news" Maker Weekly delivers content beyond “What’s launched in indie world this week?” & “What’s this maker shipping next?” We do a deep dive on the maker phenomenon, the trends, motivations & tools of modern indiemakers.
Hey all,
I'm Hugo, the other person 👨💻 behind MakerWeekly.
Maker Weekly started from this tweet: https://twitter.com/wimgz/status...
The initial idea was therefore TechCrunch for indie makers/boostrappers/side-hustlers.
The truth is, most of those people are already building in public and/or sharing their launches, failures etc. So we thought: "can we look at the bigger picture, go beyond X launched, Y released an update, Z hit 1k MRR".
So that's what MakerWeekly is about, the things you don't get from just following the launches and your favourite makers.
I'm Dante, Co-Founder of MakerWeekly
We started Maker Weekly as it was a way for us to get the best of the indie world, keep up with makers, know what’s really happening.
Maker Weekly isn't just a Twitter account that tweets the top launches of the day. It's about longer form content that's more thought out and has a bit more scope than 280 characters.
We do a deep dive on the maker phenomenon, the trends, motivations & tools of modern indiemakers.

Hello Makers... I write to you from Trouble Maker, in Shenzhen China...I with this post I am just saying hi. I do not work for Trouble Maker, but I enjoy being here... my photos: http://www.blacksteps.tv/trouble...
@rrhoover we have a big Google Sheet that tells us what to do 🔮
It gets topped up, mostly by @dantelex, when we see some trend or movement in the community.
We keep them around until we've got enough content about a particular topic to draw some observations 🕵️
