Hey everyone 😄 happy to be sharing this resource alongside Corey. Thought I'd share a little of what went into making it.
This was a big undertaking!
Imagine finding, taking screenshots, and saving thousands of marketing examples. After all that work, you're left with a mess of files and folders - impossible to search through.
Luckily, we built this swipe file using SwipeWell so that we could save examples using our browser extension, email forwarding, and bulk upload feature.
This saved tons of time and made it easy to organize the examples into different collections. Additional metadata like tags and notes help search for the exact example you're looking for.
After saving everything using SwipeWell, I statically generated each page using Next.js and wrote a few scripts to generate the sitemap and unique OG images for each category.
We hope this is a go-to resource for all of you and appreciate your support here on PH! Don't hesitate to reach out with feedback or suggestions.

Ridiculously valuable. Love how you've included ads — these are so temporal they can be hard to come by.

Probably the easiest swipe file tool on the internet. Plus, the tagging feature makes it so much easier to group content. 10x better than "SaveToNotion".
@corey_haines congrats on the launch dude! Amazing resource that is a help for finding inspiration. Love what you have put together here. Will be using!
@ryangilbert It took a lot of planning!
1. Keyword research to see what people are searching for
2. Figure out the major categories (emails, ads, landing pages)
3. Decide how we'd structure the collections so that we could pull it from my SwipeWell account onto the marketing site
4. Figure out the URL structure (e.g. examples/emails/black-friday)
5. Make a list of all the sources of marketing examples I can pull from
6. Swipe swipe swipe!
