I have been working with the Masthead for over 6 months now and I can say that I have never seen such a product in the GCP environment which allows you to monitor over 30,000 tables and views, including looker reports. For me the main sign of quality and usefulness is the moment when using a certain product becomes a daily routine - so in the case of Masthead checking incidents reports is a mandatory morning and evening ritual for me, which allows me to look at our huge ecosystem in Bigquery. In addition, Masthead has a data catalog related functionality that GCP DataPlex doesn't have - column level lineage in tables - which is exactly what we as data engineers and data analysts have been missing.
