π Hello Product Hunt!
I'm Pavel, the sole creator behind Menteo, an experimental tool that aims to redefine our understanding of emotions and body language.
TL;DR: Menteo is in the works! Itβs designed to enhance your emotional intelligence (EQ) by helping you better interpret non-verbal cues. Itβs more than just an appβitβs your companion in mastering the art of human connection, be it in personal encounters or professional settings.
π± The Menteo Journey:
β’β The Beginning: My intrigue with human interactions drove me to conceptualize Menteo. While itβs still in its early stages, I believe in its potential to merge real-world situations with AI insights.
β’β Why Now?: We're living in an age dominated by digital communication. While this has revolutionized how we connect, the art of personal interaction has become even more valuable than before. As we navigate this virtual-centric era, grasping the unspoken nuances in both digital and face-to-face interactions is paramount. Menteo aims to be that crucial bridge to understanding.
π What Makes Menteo Unique:
β’β For Everyone: Dive into a platform thatβs designed to be interactive and insightful. Understand the subtleties of human emotions better.
β’β For The Curious: If youβre eager to step up your communication game, especially in this digital age, keep an eye on Menteo.
π Special Offer: While Menteo is still baking, I have something for the early birds! Register your interest now, and use the code 1MNTH for a free month once we launch.
Cheers to better connections,
Pavel

Congrats on the launch, Pavel! πΏWhat scientific studies do you rely on? It would be interesting to read some articles
@maxgerasimov Hey Max! Thank you for your interest in our project! π‘
Our app is grounded in several key scientific studies on body language and emotions. Here are some of them:
1. "Emotions Revealed" by Paul Ekman β Ekman conducted extensive research on micro-expressions and how human emotions manifest on the face.
2. "Kinesics and Context: Essays on Body Motion Communication" by Ray Birdwhistell β This work studies body language and how we communicate through our movements.
3. "Silent Messages" by Albert Mehrabian β An exploration of the relationship between words, voice tone, and body language in communication.
4. "The Book of Human Emotions" by Tiffany Watt Smith β A review of the historical and cultural evolution of emotions and their manifestations.
Moreover, it's important to note that there's a fair amount of criticism around these methods, and they are not fully accepted as scientific by all communities. Our app will not engage in misleading practices such as determining a murderer from their face, as this is implausible, and that's just one example. Instead, we focus on promoting understanding and knowledge without making unsupported claims.
We have also integrated contemporary approaches and techniques from neurology, psychology, and artificial intelligence to ensure our app is as effective as possible.
Hope I have answered your question π
