@amitgolans@yonidariel I see more and more startups that start with Android, for the simple reason that you can upload a new version to the Google Play Store every day while on the Apple App Store you need to wait days, sometimes weeks. Not mentioning the pain of the new TestFlight. Building your server and your product on Android and only then going to iOS is the way to go.
@yairba@yonidariel On one hand it's true. On the other, startups have limited resources and they want to gain as many users as they can. If you want to penetrate the US market, I think it's IOS is the dominant device and then you have to go for IOS. Don't you think?

The idea behind Minute is that we are the gate for content that you would love.
If you like it, press on the Full version button. If you don't just swipe it. We are packing different topics (News, entertainment, Geeky stuff, sport etc) and presenting the highlights, allowing you to choose your favorite content under a Minute :)
Think of a new format for video snacks.

Minute is awesome. I just discovered it. I am still waiting for the iOS version, but minute.ly/feed already gives you a preview of some awesome clips.
This could be a new media type called: *long-form gif*

@ourielohayon Great question Ninja! We will allow user to hunt videos! just like @producthunt and then we will add them as a contributor and the one who exposed this short video to the world :)

@amitgolans Hey, I used mobile link on my iPhone - Very cool actually, but an iPhone version is a must :) I think the UGC should be something like ProductHunt. A discovery tool with votes. That'll make it social and well curated, in my eyes.
@kobaiko Definitely agree with you man. This is kind of what we are doing. Do you have an android to see how it looks like? Would be happy to hear your insights too.

Love the idea and tried out the app but I'm getting super slow loading times on videos which would otherwise play fine in the YouTube app. Is Minute loading the videos at super high resolution?
@kkdub Hey Dreamer! We have an in house tool that does it. This is how our team supports the content manager :) We have to do it but it has to work perfect before we release it.

@amitgolans Wow! Can't believe you already have an MVP of this -- amazing. (Sorry for the late reply.) The selfish use case for me is just one for workflow -- if I can watch a minute video instead of a longer one to assess content quality, I want to do that. I curate content for a few of my clients and video takes a long time to do well. Of course, if you can apply minute tech to your own videos before releasing them, #win.
