@tharaka7nw Hi Tharaka, @marcus_gosling up above mentions something we've heard from many beta testers, that feels fresher and clean. We've heard a lot of people say "crisp". For asthma and allergy sufferers this can make a difference in terms of health and symptoms as @mark_doerrier and @sandi_morano_rosalia mentioned. For all of us though, breathing clean air is something that can help our long term health.
@swamidigital Love it. What's the input voltage accepted? If I plug it into a 220v european outlet with a plug adapter would it work, or do I need a converter?
@colemercer A plug adapter will work, our supply accepts 220v.

@swamidigital Very excited by Molekule! I read the white paper on the beta study, where the data on Total Symptom Scores (TSS) was self-reported: are there any plans to perform clinical mesurements and/or increase the beta/study population?
@fchu Yes we are planning to continue the beta testing to validate our results. Additionally we are also looking for users that may uniquely benefit from the technology. As an example we recently were contacted by a Veteran with difficulty breathing due to being around burn pits and we are in the process of getting him one of our beta units to test. In the future we will be working with a team of doctors to best develop studies to test and validate the clinical efficacy of our technology. While there are so many clinical questions we would love to answer we are somewhat constrained by our resources as a small start up. Thanks for the interest!
@thunayan Sensors inside our device determine when filters need to be replaced (so that it is customized to your home environment and usage). With our smart filter replacements, we can automatically ship replacement filters right when you need them. For $99 per year, we will include all of the filters you need. During the preorder period, we offer a year of free filter replacements. On average, our nano-filter will be replaced once a year and the pre-filter once every three months; however, actual replacement rates will vary based on each household. You do also have the option of purchasing filters individually, which can be purchased directly on our website as well as through our mobile app.

This looks really slick. What sort of flow rates does it have and how long does it take to filter a average size room?
@alex_kranenburg: The device is sized to service a room sized at 600 square feet, which equates to a large living room or studio apartment, with two air changes per hour. We can completely change the air in a large master bedroom (384 square feet) in less than 20 minutes.
This comes out to a flow rate of roughly ~165 CFM. Continuous operation has yielded the best results among users in our Beta trial and is recommended to keep your air fresh and crisp
First off this is awesome. Second off is there any concern that living in such pure air quality will detract from your natural immune system and cause you to get sicker quicker when you do encounter "regular" polluted air, allergens, or bacteria etc?
@samchristie Thanks for your enthusiasm Sam! In regards to your concern about things getting too clean, I would mention that according to the EPA the air indoors is up to 5 times (and sometimes more than 15 times) more polluted indoors than outdoors. That's because our air handling systems pull in pollutants from the outdoors, and allow them to build up and concentrate along with pollutants generated indoors. Our device helps reverse that process and helps us get those exposure levels back to something that's healthy for you. It's not so much that we are trying to create completely sterile spaces, rather we're reducing your exposure indoors to a healthy level.

My son has asthma and my wife has dust allergies. I can vouch first hand for the efficacy of the Molekule device as we have benefited from testing one of the beta units in our respective bedrooms for months now. That also led us at SoftTech to lead the seed round of the company, which will deliver a much needed relief to millions of people suffering from respiratory diseases, allergies and exposure to pollutants.
@jeffclavier Don't ask to upvote ;) it's against PH community rules https://www.producthunt.com/faq#...
It's a cool enough product, it will be on front page and will get loads of attention don't worry :)
