@amyers I agree! If a series is still running, toggling it as watched is entirely unhelpful. We're working on building an episode/season watchlist right now for our next update. If you're interested, I'd be happy to let you know when we launch that feature! Feel free to email me at nathaniel@movielistapp.com.
Thanks for hunting us, Dan!
Hi all! We’re Nathaniel and Aaron, the makers of MovieList 🍿. We love watching movies and shows, and we love building products. We put the two together and built MovieList! MovieList helps you keep track of your favorite movies & TV shows.
A few of MovieList’s features include:
- Save what movies you want to watch for later and remember all the awesome movies you’ve already seen.
- Discover the upcoming and in-theater films.
- Get recommended movies based on your watchlist.
- Get tickets on the fly with Fandango.
- See where your favorite movies and shows are available on Netflix, Hulu, iTunes, or Amazon.
Our aim is to create the best way to stay connected with the content you love. We hope you enjoy it and we’d love to hear any feedback or ideas you might have! 😄

@nathaniel_adams just curious, for the app store screenshots/pictures, did you use some app or did you make them yourself?
@ljupcho Thanks for the question! I made the gif using Adobe AE and the screenshots using Sketch.

Why no web version?! It makes no sense( Also, please, add sync with trakt.tv - I spent countless hours selecting what I watched on a desktop, I am in no way doing that again on a smartphone!
Familiar list app UX, great application/use of it. FYI - site URL doesn't work without "www", I'd set up that redirect quick. Most people don't share links with "www". 👍
@jimmyamash Thank you so much! That's odd, I'm going to figure that out why our redirect isn't working! Thanks for mentioning it.
UPDATE: Should be fixed!
Being myself a maker of "Movie Market Cap" (www.moviemarketcap.com), this MovieList is attractive, simple and ease to use. @nathaniel_adams , great work :)
looks interesting - I wonder if you have any intension to support syncing to online database; I personally use tract.tv - all present apps are incomplete, though they all offer something great and unique; problem is, either no realtime sync, or absent Apple Watch and/or macOS app, or retarded database updating, etc - there are standouts; MovieTime + TV time, Movist + Serist are by far my favorites - thanks and good job on a promising intuitive UI
@ans87twt It's definitely on our product roadmap! We think there is a lot of room to improve on the features of other apps so do expect a lot more from MovieList! 😄
Great idea. You never know when some of your favorite more obscure shows come back. Wondering how you're going to make money eventually with this though!
