Is it open for all regions - like India too? when trying to go to your link wantmymtv.xyz my anti-virus software says it is barred and could be malicious etc. Any solution?

No algo + no login is kinda refreshing honestly. How’re you handling licensing/rights for 35k videos… are these embedded from YouTube/Vevo or hosted yourselves? Also curious if there’s any “schedule” vibe like old MTV (blocks, VJ intros) or it’s pure shuffle

@amitpsharma All publically available video files hosted on YT, no license rights required. It uses the YT API wrapper with vanilla.js as the front end with a very minimalistic scaffolding and obvious vintage appeal. Probably the most elegant set up I've ever engineered mostly born out the necessity of wanting to be able to watch these videos forever, glad its resonated with others as well!

@busmark_w_nika Nope! It's been running strong for over a week now with 1M+ visitors. The videos are sourced from YouTube (with automatic fallback when things get region-blocked), so as long as YouTube exists, MTV REWIND exists. We've already had Rolling Stone cover it and the NYT wants to interview us about it. This is built to last. 🎸
