Hey everyone 👋 I’m excited to introduce Multy, an open-source tool that enables developers to deploy and switch to any cloud - AWS, Azure and GCP for now. ❓ Why are we building Multy? We realised that, even when using existing solutions, writing infrastructure code is very different for each cloud provider. This means changing clouds or deploying the same infrastructure in multiple clouds requires rewriting the same thing multiple times. And even though most core resources have the same functionality, developers need to learn a new provider and all its nuances when choosing a new cloud. This is why we built Multy! ⚙️How does Multy work? Multy is currently available as a Terraform provider. You can write cloud-agnostic code and then just choose which cloud you want to deploy to. Multy will then call the cloud provider APIs on your behalf, so the resources deployed to each cloud behave the same. Current resources supported on AWS, Azure and GCP: - Storage 📁- S3, Blob storage, etc - Virtual Machines 🖥️ - Databases 🗄️ - Kubernetes ☸️ - Clusters and node pools - Networking 🌐 - Virtual networks, subnets, public ips, nsg, network interfaces, route tables - Secrets 🔒 Our goal is to expose any configuration that is common across all clouds, but there’s always specific features that are not available in all of them. For example, if you want a very specific AWS CPU for your Virtual Machine or use a region that is only available in GCP. To enable this, we implemented overrides - a way to configure the underlying infrastructure for cloud-specific purposes. You can also mix cloud specific Terraform code alongside Multy, giving you all the flexibility you need when building your applications. @petrakolesar YES! One of the good things of having a "portable" infrastructure is that you can take advantage of the credit offerings from multiple providers! In fact, we've seen other startups migrate to do just that and we want to make that process much smoother.

This is awesome! With our small team we've really struggled to serve our customers in more than AWS... we simply don't have the capacity to maintain our solution in both AWS and GCP! Will give it a try!
