My Texas Method brings three powerful features to iOS: create custom programs beyond the default template, visualize strength gains with interactive graphs, and view workouts on Apple Watch. Native SwiftUI app with no ads and lifetime purchase option.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Daisuke Adachi, the solo developer behind My Texas Method.
I built this because I kept losing focus at the gym doing mental math between sets — "my squat max is 315, volume day is 80%, that's 252... wait, can I actually load that?" I just wanted an app that did the math for me.
v1.0 launched about 1 year and 8 months ago. Since then, users asked for three things: custom programs, progress graphs, and Apple Watch support. v2.0 delivered all three, plus QR code sharing so you can send your program to a training partner with one tap.
v2.1 adds Programs Gallery — a website I built where the community can browse and share programs. The app now links directly to it so you can find and import programs without leaving the app.
Key features:
- ⚖️ Auto-calculates training weights from your max lifts
- 📅 Custom programs: weeks, days, exercises, sets, reps, percentages
- 📊 Progress graphs with date filters and stats
- ⌚ Apple Watch app — view your workout on your wrist
- 📲 QR code sharing — send programs to training partners
- 🗂️ Programs Gallery — browse and import community programs
- 🔌 100% offline — no internet needed at the gym
Pricing: free tier for the default program, or unlock everything with monthly ($4.99), yearly ($39.99), or lifetime ($99.99).
I'm here all day — happy to answer anything about the app or the Texas Method. If you try it, I'd love to hear what you think! 🙏
