Nexus Historia is an interactive alternate-history sandbox where players, students, teachers and history fans explore branching timelines, storyboards and AI-driven scenarios. Also play 'The House of Unsaid Things' for free.

A classroom mode where teachers can lock certain timeline branches and pin primary source documents to specific decision points would make this way more useful for history lessons. Right now it feels more like a personal exploration tool, but that one feature could really open it up to actual curriculum use.
@commutebuild Fantastic feedback.
@commutebuild I have been working on the following, and it is completed. Guided Classroom Timelines let teachers release evidence-led branches while students explore, reflect, and build private routes. Compare anonymised Student A/B/C outcomes and discuss how evidence shapes historical understanding.
How do Guided Classroom Timelines work?
Teachers create or select a Living Timeline, choose the historical lens, release branches as the lesson develops, and pin primary sources to key decisions.
Students join through their classroom code, explore the released history, then create a private route where they can make choices, add branches, and write reflections. Their work never changes the teacher’s master timeline.
Teachers can then compare anonymised Student A/B/C routes, identify where interpretations diverged, and lead a discussion about evidence, assumptions, causation, and consequences.
One shared history. Many reasoned routes.
