I don't think Backblaze is a Google Drive contestant. It's more about backing up your whole computer. Google Drive is more about backing up specific things and sharing/collaborating on them efficiently with additional services (Docs etc.). Dropbox might be the only similar match there.

Most of people doesn't care about their "data" and privacy. They just say "I'm not doing anything wrong" so they believe it is okay to be watched. But it is so simple "If you are not paying for a product, you are the product"
Pros:
Allows to find "secure" and "self hosted" alternatives.
Cons:
Should tell more about "personal information" and "privacy"

Sure, but I'm paying Google $1.99 a month to host my email and all the content it auto uploads to the cloud like photos on my phone.
Fantastic Product. The more privacy and user data comes under attack, the more we need folks like yourself to keep innovating like this- well done @levelsio ! 🙌

hey! i guess it would be more intuitive if the categories are arranged in boxes. like rows and columns rather than just a single column.
I'm concerned that the upvotes won't be normalized for the new additions. Because most viewers might vote early on but not see newer suggestions, so some items will end up voted much higher than they should have been if there were more alternatives listed.

Great Idea, super useful for people who care about their privacy.
Pros:Great idea to add list of alternatives with votes
Cons:I would recommend adding some more info about the alternative or a comparison (in a popup perhaps)
