Notihub turns Messenger, Zalo, Gmail, Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp and any web app into one native macOS hub. Press your hotkey and a menu bar panel drops over whatever you're doing — read and reply without switching apps, tabs or Spaces. Every alert lands in real macOS Notification Center with per-service icons, and clicking one jumps to that exact thread. Plus multi-account sessions, regex notification filters, quiet hours, and idle-tab auto-sleep. Free, open source, no telemetry.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Notihub because I kept missing messages.
I live in Messenger, Zalo, Gmail and Slack all day, and half of them have no real Mac app at all. So everything ended up as browser tabs — and Chrome/Safari aggressively throttle background tabs. WebSockets die silently, notifications show up 10 minutes late or never, and the only way to know if someone had replied was to click through six tabs and check manually.
Notihub is the fix I wanted:
⌨️ One hotkey, any screen. Hit ⌘⇧Space and a menu bar panel drops over whatever you're doing — even a fullscreen app. Read the message, reply, press Esc, you're back. No Space switching, no tab hunting, no losing your place.
🔔 One place for everything. All your apps push into the real macOS Notification Center, each with its own icon, respecting Focus Modes and Do Not Disturb. Click a notification and it opens that exact conversation or email — not a generic inbox.
🚦 You can tell when something is actually broken. Each tab has a quiet status dot that goes amber, then red, the longer a service goes silent — and flags it if the page logged you out. A dead connection never looks the same as "no new messages" anymore. Crashed renderers reload themselves with backoff.
🔒 Multiple accounts, isolated. `notihub add slack --as work` gives you a second fully separate session, no cookie collisions.
🎯 Control what interrupts you. Regex Priority/Allow/Deny rules per service, plus a real quiet-hours schedule (day + time windows), all in Settings.
💤 Light on your Mac. Idle background tabs auto-sleep after N minutes and genuinely free their memory, reconnecting the instant you switch back. Minimal Mode drops the whole UI and runs from the tray.
🛡️ Open source (MIT), zero telemetry, zero Notihub servers. Every service loads straight from its own site — I never see your data, because there's nowhere for it to go.
Install:
brew tap thuong180702/notihub && brew install --cask notihub
macOS 12+. Presets for Messenger, Zalo, Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp — and any custom URL you throw at it.
I'd love to hear which app you'd add first, and what your current "I missed that message" story is. Issues and PRs very welcome 🙏
