Track meals, macros, weight, and nutrition history through conversation with Claude or ChatGPT. Free MCP server for AI-powered food logging, barcode scanning, calorie counting, weight tracking, and diet tracking. Unlike a tracking app, there's nothing to open β it works inside whatever AI client you already use daily. No ads, no premium tier, staying free. I've used it myself every day since March.

Hey PH π
I'm Anton. I built Nutrition MCP because I wanted to log what I ate without switching apps mid-conversation with Claude β turns out that's a workflow a few hundred other people wanted too.
The approach shifted a bit as I built it: I started just wanting barcode lookup and macro logging, but the natural-language part became the actual point β you can just say "log a chicken caesar wrap, medium" and it handles the parsing and macros itself. OAuth 2.0/PKCE auth means you connect it once to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client and it just works from then on.
It's free and staying that way β not trying to build a business here, just a tool I use every day that other people found useful too. Happy to answer anything about the MCP side, the auth flow, or nutrition-tracking-by-LLM in general.

honestly this is kind of brilliant, I've been wanting something like this for ages. one thing that would make it even better is letting me log meals by just sending a photo of the food and having it estimate the macros automatically, basically skip the typing step entirely.

@hafizeghyzΒ Thank you! And this is what it actually does. Recently I've added the instruction to interview you about the food in the photo. It works in the following way:
Identifies whether it's restaurant/homemade food
If it's the restaurant one, it asks you the name and location of the restaurant then does the following:
Searches it online, goes to the website and tries to find your meal in the menu if it's there

Identifies everything in the photo
Confirms ingredients/meals in the photo with you
Asks for portion sizes
Logs the food
