Welcome to the Occasio early access launch! 📸🌟 Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to present my early access product to this incredible community. It's been a product I've had on my mind for years that's gone through a handful of tech stack changes to platform changes and even name changes! I'm proud to finally be able to launch, and your feedback and early adoption are incredibly valuable to me. Ever since the beginning of the pandemic and all the canceled in-person events, I knew I wanted to create a better experience for everyone's events when they finally returned, and I've spent so much time just thinking about what the first steps could look like. What kind of events can Occasio be used for? Anything from a spontaneous best-friends trip to your annual family reunion picnic (maybe even Thanksgiving for those in the US 😉) to the moment you say "I do" at your wedding, Occasio helps you capture every moment and share more smiles, no matter the event! 😁 With that, my goal was to create a seamless way for everyone to share their pictures from their events. So that's why we only require one user to have an account to purchase a Bucket (what we call a "gallery" at Occasio), and you instantly get a shareable QR code that anyone can scan to upload directly to your Bucket. We also have password-protection so you control who views and uploads to your Buckets. Each Bucket will automatically become archived after 30 days, preventing any uploads but still allowing anyone to relive the good times. What are the current alternatives? For smaller events, having to manually text (which compresses/downgrades your photos) to others or using something like Apple AirDrop and hoping everyone has an iPhone. Bigger events will have expensive photographers, but they can't be everywhere at once like all your guests are! While I'm very confident in the quality of Occasio, I consider this to be early access in the "event" (ha) of any bugs that anyone may encounter. This early access phase is all about collaboration and improvement. I'm here to learn from you, hopeful first users, and evolve the product to better serve you and future users. @sophia_hall1 Thanks Sophia! Pricing is definitely something I want to continue adjusting, as I think there can be a wide range of B2C and B2B use cases for Occasio in my opinion. For now the plan is to just have each Bucket, which would include unlimited photo storage and 30 days of uploading, to cost $9.99 USD, with future plans for a slightly more expensive Bucket option that allows for video storage as well. I might try to break these plans down even further, maybe a cheaper option that only allows a certain amount of photos/data for the more casual users, but wanted to keep it simple for now!
