Occulta is the vault between your files and AI. It detects sensitive data (names, IBANs, IDs, case numbers) and swaps it for opaque tokens BEFORE any LLM call, then re-injects the real values into the answer. You review what gets masked first. Confidential data never leaves in clear text. Built for lawyers, works for any regulated field.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm a solo full-stack dev. I built Occulta after realizing how many professionals want to use AI on real documents but legally can't — lawyers bound by professional secrecy, but also anyone handling client data under GDPR/HIPAA.
The idea is simple: before your text ever reaches an LLM, Occulta detects the sensitive parts (names, IBANs, IDs, case numbers, addresses) and replaces them with opaque tokens. The AI works on the masked text; Occulta re-injects the real values into the answer. You review exactly what gets masked before anything is sent — nothing sensitive ever leaves in clear text.
It's provider-agnostic (Claude, Mistral, or a fully local model for a "nothing ever leaves the building" setup).
Following the Coming Soon here while I finish the hosted version — would love your feedback on the approach. What would you want masked first?

Reviewing what gets masked before the LLM call is a really thoughtful touch. Tested it on a client contract and the IBAN swap worked cleanly with the values re-appearing exactly where they should in the response.
