Here's the question most parents of babies will have.
Can this work as a baby monitor?!?!? if so, shutup and take my money!
Baby monitor's have some specific functions, while many security cameras claim to work as one, they actually don't. Baby monitor's work more as a push service. So the camera has to ALWAYS be streaming audio to the client, and the client has to relay that audio and/or alert in real time (not 5 seconds later).
Does this camera/app do that? Or is the camera compatible with baby monitor apps that support 3rd party cameras?
@wuss Dear Noah, I'm a father of a 2yo and I've been using Oco1 and now Oco2 as a baby monitor. Oco2 is super easy to mount with a tripod over the crib (see the picture above). When the camera detects motion or sound you get a notification almost instantly. Yes there is a couple seconds lag, but from my experience it doesn't change anything. You can also use two-way talk to calm the baby while you run to the baby room.

How long is the electrical cord? Sounds silly but in fact it is not a minor detail when you want to choose the most strategic place for your cam and avoid having it in plain sight.
I actually got one of these on Indiegogo. The video doesn't quite do it justice. Here's what makes it stand out for me:
- No monthly fees: They don't force you into a subscription. While cloud storage is available. You do get an SD card slot to store the recordings.
- Magnet base: This may not be intuitive, but is actually a big advantage when it comes to mounting and adjusting the thing for the right angle.
- Notification filtering: Lord, this is a big one! If you've dealt with any camera you know how your phone goes off every time your cat runs past it or a curtain moves because of a little breeze. Not here.
- IFTTT integration: Noone else has this. I've set it up to turn off recording once we get home.
@romanzadyrako thanks for the feedback. With new features from @IFTTT you can build even more awesome automation scenarios

Hi everyone! If any of you guys decided on getting a security system (CCTV) I really recommend you to also get AJAX system, they can update your old cameras and it gives you full control on your cell phone of all the cameras that you have installed, I really like it, they also have this cool motion sensors and the battely lasts for 7 years or more, I mean, when I asked myself is my family's security worth it? Well ... you know the answer, I don't know if there is any other system that has all this.
I have Oco 1 and can't wait to get an Oco 2! Another great advantage of Oco is that you don't get fake notifications that spam you constantly. It's definitely the best home cam out there in my opinion.

Awesome idea, and the IFTT integration is a really cool feature that helps simplify automation for most people. The SD card is a good idea in case of losing Internet connection, but in this line of thought, a battery would be nice to add just in case of an energy cut-off.

Other than an epic intro video... I've been thinking of snagging one of these for awhile. I live on a super busy street and generally speaking just want to know what's up at my front door while I'm away :-)
Rock on!
