Hi Product Hunt — I’m the founder of Ohwait.
For a long time, the intuition behind what a product should look like lived in the heads of a small number of experienced people.
But every company that makes physical products keeps returning to the same question:
What should our next product look like?
The hard part is not generating another attractive image. It is turning an incomplete idea, a rough sketch, reference images, material choices, brand language, and supplier constraints into directions a team can actually compare—before investing in CAD, prototypes, or samples.
That is why I started Ohwait: to make early product-direction judgment visible, comparable, and repeatable.
Ohwait is a decisive AI agent for consumer product development. It helps a team bring in its own context, explore several coherent product concepts, select one route, refine views and colorways, and carry the chosen direction into clearer production and sales references.
Ohwait is not CAD, engineering validation, or a replacement for designers, engineers, factories, or buyer judgment. It is the decision layer before those deeper and more expensive steps.

Would love to see a "compare side by side" view with cost estimates attached to each concept, so I can quickly judge not just the look but the production feasibility before moving forward.

The version we believe we can support responsibly is a directional comparison of likely cost drivers—materials, processes, part complexity, and assumptions—rather than an exact factory quote or a claim of manufacturability. Making those trade-offs visible beside each concept would make the decision much more useful. Thank you for pushing us in that direction.
Tried it with a rough sketch of a chair and a few reference shots and the concepts it generated actually felt like real product directions, not just pretty renders. Helpful for getting past blank page before CAD.

I’m especially glad the chair concepts felt like products rather than just attractive images. What made the strongest direction feel usable to you?
The concept comparison feature is genuinely useful, side by side options from a rough sketch saved me a week of back and forth with manufacturers.

tried it with a sketch and some random fabric references and honestly the concepts it spat out were actually comparable side by side, which is kind of rare for this kind of tool
