I had to figure out what made this ordinary-looking French Press different than others... From their link (Kickstarter):

Most French presses are going to have a standard look given the way the coffee is brewed. It's not an avant-garde office building we're drawing up, here so the design will be uniform across the board. What separates our model is the performance aspect.
