Love the design style of UIs and the countdown feature. Thought there were no devs who would work on the basic tools like calendars nowadays. Turned out I'm totally wrong.
Thanks - this is a very real need - I often set alarms on top of important Google calendar events b/c the notification just isn't good enough or will get overridden by some other DnD setting etc.
Would be great to see this on m Pixel!

Hey, guys👋🏻Loved the idea of the app, and downloaded it right away. But unfortunately, it's to persistent in making me buy paid version. I've just downloaded it, and want to discover it at the first step. Futhermore, it offers me to add a profile photo, but it doesn't let me to save the added photo without buying paid version. Therefore, I stopped discovering futher. Hope you'll fix this issue
@joshsoftorino Definitely! A web version will be the next version we build. Once we've ironed out the main parts on the iOS app web will be next which will make it much easier to share with anyone and arrange bigger events!
@joshsoftorino Thanks Josh!! So we do support iPad which works on desktop, although it's not the best we admit! Web 100%, it's next on our radar for major updates. Our hope is it would also allow us to get to Android much faster! Curious to hear how you find the app and any feedback as we're releasing updates very often!

This looks interesting, Blake! I love the idea of having a countdown widget to look forward to events, but I wonder how the shared calendar really simplifies planning with friends. Is it intuitive enough to avoid the usual back-and-forth messaging?
Also, can you elaborate on how you manage privacy within shared calendars? It would be awesome if there’s a feature that allows users to decide who can see what events.
Lastly, I'd be curious to know if you have any stats on user engagement. It'd be great to see how quickly people are connecting and actually planning events together after downloading. Looking forward to hearing more about your journey with Outside!

So the shared calendar lets you see what times friends/family are busy but does not expose what they are doing. This was an important privacy decision we made early on. But by seeing the gaps it usually skips the first part of a conversion about finding times people are free.
When somebody signs up they add their first event right away and then usually invite a friend to it if they know they want them to join. We're always working on improvements though to talk more about the use cases so people can use Outside for any sort of life event, big or small!
