Take control of Gmail notifications from one simple screen. Choose which senders or domains can notify you, instantly switch between VIP-only, All Emails, or No Notifications, assign unique sounds to different senders, and set quiet hours so notifications fit your life, not your inbox.

Hi Product Hunt! 🦉
I created Owl VIP Email Alerts because I didn’t want to miss an important email, but I also didn’t want my inbox interrupting me all day. I wanted a simple way to choose which Gmail senders and domains were allowed to notify me- especially at night, when I wanted to sleep through random emails but still be woken up by something important coming in from another time zone.
One-screen control
Owl VIP gives you one simple screen to control Gmail notifications. You can build an organized VIP list of the senders and domains you want notifications from, turn individual entries on or off without deleting them, and tap once to switch between VIP-only, All Emails, and No Notifications instead of digging through settings every time.
Unique notification sounds
Owl VIP also lets you assign unique notification sounds to different senders. Order emails could use a cash register sound, the special email you’ve been waiting for could use a video game win sound, and something urgent could use an intense violin or gong. There are 80+ built-in notification sounds to choose from, including simple dings and bells, themed sounds, voice clips, and even songs.
Automatic schedules
You can also schedule those settings around your day, so Owl VIP can automatically adjust your notification mode instead of making you remember to change it yourself. For example, overnight notifications can stay off completely, or stay on just for VIPs.
Owl VIP Email Alerts is free to download. A subscription is required to connect Gmail and use notification features. Available on iOS and Android.
My goal was to make managing Gmail notifications feel easy, clean, and stress-free (and a little fun). I’d love to hear your feedback- especially which feature would be most useful for you.
