Validate your startup idea before opening your AI IDE

Painstack searches Reddit, Hacker News, YC startups, and Product Hunt before scoring your idea 0–100. You get a BUILD / REFINE / KILL verdict grounded in real market signals, not AI opinion. If it's worth building: Market Agent maps real competitors, CEO builds your 90-day roadmap, CMO finds where your ICP is asking for help today, CTO generates 12 execution PRPs ready for Lovable or any AI IDE to start building. From Ideia to first paying customer.

The BUILD / REFINE / KILL verdict grounded in real data is the kind of brutal honesty most idea validation tools avoid. I wish I had this before starting STRIKE, I validated mostly through gut feeling and personal frustration.
Quick question: does Painstack work for validating updates or new features on an existing app, or is it mainly useful at the initial idea stage?
@misbah_abdel the STRIKE story is exactly why we built Painstack...gut feeling and personal frustration are valid signals, but they're biased toward the founder's own experience. Real data from people who don't know you is a different conversation entirely.
To your question: yes, it works for feature validation too and honestly that use case might be underrated. You can submit a specific feature idea or problem ("users of X product complain about Y") and get the same evidence backed verdict. We've seen founders use it to decide between two competing features before spending a sprint on the wrong one. The Market Agent is particularly useful here it maps how people are currently solving the problem, which tells you whether your proposed feature is filling a real gap or duplicating something that already exists.
Would love to hear what you'd have validated differently with STRIKE if you had this from day one.
Hey PH 👋
Built this after watching too many founders, including myself, spend months on ideas the market didn't want.
The core insight: ChatGPT validates everything. Reddit validates nothing on purpose. We search Reddit, Hacker News and in the web before the AI generates a single word, so your score reflects what real people are actually saying online, not what a language model thinks sounds reasonable.
A score above 65 is genuinely rare. That's intentional. Painstack.ai is designed to save founders from bad ideas, not encourage them.
Would love honest feedback, especially from founders who've tried other validation tools. What's missing?
@mvfernando I've seen so many talented people waste months on unvalidated ideas, myself included.
That's why we focused so much on the 'evidence-first' approach. To everyone trying it today: we’d love to know if the Reddit threads Painstack found changed your perspective on your ICP.
What other sources should we be crawling next? Let us know!
I wish I had this app a long time ago to help me narrow my focus and see if there is a market for all my ideas. Its nice to have some validation as to whether the idea is worth the effort or if the market is already saturated.
@abbi_kelly, this is exactly the use case we built it for too many ideas, not enough signal on which one deserves your time. Glad it landed. If you want to go deeper on any of them, Pro gives you the full Blueprint with ICP, competitors, and a 90-day roadmap. 20% off until April 24, no pressure, but the timing works out.
