Very cool, i had the same idea but for subways and to show in real time what happens outside. However this might be boring so nice landscapes is better.

We have something similar in our city in our Calgary Tower. It shows the view of the city and mimics the movement of the elevator going up 190 floors to the top. It's awesome and almost obvious, once you see it. Love it.

How does something get power from an Elevator? I can't imagine there are easy outlets nearby.
