Hi Product Hunt! I’m super excited to finally be able to release Papagaio - Language Companion and share it with this community.
Being an avid traveler, I love immersing myself in a new culture and have found that languages and speaking confidence can often be gatekeepers to the most authentic experiences and connections with locals. I created Papagaio as a way to practice foreign languages in real-life scenarios and build confidence to then take these skills to in-person conversations.
Most recently, I used the app to prepare for a trip to Brazil - a beginner in Portuguese, I had learned it on my own and had never really had an opportunity to use it. After a few weeks of practicing daily conversations, I was really pleased with how much more fluent my spoken Portuguese felt and positively surprised by all the conversations I was able to have once on my trip.
I’d love to see this community share in this positive experience and use Papagaio to build speaking confidence in their language of choice, be it for travel, school, work, or daily life interactions!

Great app, easy to use and entertaining. Papagaio is able to understand what is being said even when big mistakes are made or when pronounced with a thick foreign accent. The varied topics of AI conversation are a plus ! (Today I chose Cuisine's contribution to litterature, becuase why not. Speaking with papagaio is kinda like asking things to Chatgpt and a great way to learn new stuff)
I really love using the app on a daily basis to improve my Spanish. The Ui is very good and I can easily have a conversation on a topic I like as well as receive tips and help when needed. I highly recommend Papagaio.
