I'm Samuel, I run a small film and live production studio in Germany, and I spend a lot of my day in calls with clients.
For years, my way to sound good in meetings was OBS: route the mic through plugins, start a virtual mic, then join the call. It worked, but it was way too much for a quick meeting. Every mic had to be set up by hand, and when my AirPods disconnected, nothing switched over. I also never used my MacBook's built-in mic because it picked up more room than voice.
