Patio is where DIY meets community, learning, and sustainability. Borrow tools, rent yours out, learn with quizzes, discover tutorials, buy/sell tools, and find local resources. Making DIY easier, affordable, and more connected, beginner or pro.

Loving the idea of borrowing tools from neighbors, feels like the modern version of What’s the time? diy community vibes, right?
Patio
@zubair_collier Absolutely 😄 It’s all about reviving that friendly neighbor spirit, but with a modern DIY community spin!
The little quizzes for learning DIY skills are nice, have you thought about adding quick video shorts or step by step checklist too?
Patio
@david_strc Great idea 🎯 Quick videos or step-by-step checklists could be an awesome way to make learning even easier.

The deposite hold feature is smart for building trust between borrowers and lenders. Have you faced any challenges in getting people comfortable with lending out their tools?
Patio
@william_woods We’re still working on it 🔧 Kind of like early Airbnb, some people are hesitant at first, but with the right trust features, it gets easier over time.

I like how this isn’t just about borrowing stuff but also about connecting with people nearby who actually know how to use it. The mix of tools and learning resources is a nice touch. Will you be adding more how-to content from real users in the future?
Patio
@vincent_chen11 Thanks Vincent! 🔧 Yes, we’re planning to bring in more how-to content from real users, it’s a great way to share knowledge and keep the community growing.
It might just make my weekend project routine way more sustainable.
Anyone else planning to use it for their next DIY fix?
Patio
@den_taylor Love hearing that Den 🌿 Hope it makes your next project smoother too! I’m actually using it for rebuilding a friend’s deck this weekend!
The idea of lending and borrowing tools locally is awesome. One thing that could make it even better is a quick “tool availability calendar” so people can see when something’s free without messaging back and forth. Is that something you’ve considered?
Patio
@yatheen_brahma Thanks Yatheen! 📅 We show each tool’s availability in a calendar view, is that what you had in mind or something else?
It's amazing Julien! I can really see that blend and I'm sure many people will take the most of it to improve their home. Wish you all the best here!

@german_merlo1 Thank you so much Germán! That really means a lot. I'm hoping it helps more people feel confident tackling their own projects, one tool and one tip at a time 🧰 Appreciate the kind words!
