Petrichor is a native music player for macOS. It plays almost any format and keeps your library organized based on track metadata, integrates well with rest of macOS and offers a ton of features that are mostly found only in streaming music players.
A Scrobbles integration with Last.fm would be amazing for tracking listening history. Also a smart playlist builder based on criteria like genre, year, or play count would put Petrichor right up there with the streaming apps in terms of dynamic library curation.

Love how it pulls metadata to keep things tidy, and the deep macOS integration is exactly what I want from a local player. One thing that would make it a daily driver for me is a proper smart playlist builder, similar to what iTunes had, where you can combine multiple rules with AND/OR logic and save them.

As someone who has a pretty chaotic local library with nested folders, a built-in duplicate finder and tag editor would be a huge win. Most native players force you to use an external app to clean things up before you even import, so having that handled right inside Petrichor would save a ton of time.
Finally a local music player that feels like it belongs on macOS instead of being a port. Loved how the library sorted my messy metadata automatically, and the gapless playback actually worked on FLAC.
