Pickle
I tested it on my Mac, and it does exactly what it promises. What stood out to me was how frictionless the whole experience feels. Copy the share link, and the upload happens in the background. No interruptions.
That said, there's room for improvement. I'd love to see it stay purely in the menu bar without popping up in the dock. Also, while @arshadkc emphasizes privacy, it's unclear how the privacy-first approach works—more transparency here would be great. Further, I don't know how redact functionality works, which is probably why the demo video on the website helps potential users better understand the flow.
That said, kudos to @arshadkc for building something genuinely useful and keeping it free. It's clear this was built by someone who actually uses screenshots daily. I'd love to see Pickle as an iOS app too.
Great product! Yet can you launch a scrolling screenshot feature, it would be so convenient! Thanks

@ruthvik_reddy_sankepally great question! I wanted to start making Pickle feel polished and stable before thinking about open-sourcing it. It's a 100% free, privacy-first utility with no hidden features, something I built for myself and decided to share. No freemium angle at the moment. Just focused on making a solid, native Mac experience.

Quickly tried it, what I really appreciate about Pickle is that it feels invisible — in the best possible way. It just gets out of your way and lets you keep working.
The fact that uploads happen in the background makes it feel more like part of the OS than a third-party app.
How do you differ from CleanShot?
